Information about my position as Multimedia Specialist at
Cognassist is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company that specialises in the field of neurodiversity. Their platform assists employers and educators in identifying areas of neurodiversity and provides them with learning materials to educate themselves about it. Due to their effective software and educational materials, Cognassist has become a highly successful startup company.
As a Multimedia Specialist, I produced a variety of videos and animations to enhance the Cognassist learning modules. I collaborated with the design and content team responsible for creating online learning material. My work involved using Adobe products like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. Additionally, I utilized Figma and Miro for my projects.
To create video avatars, I employed Colossyan, an online AI tool, and Murf, an AI voice generating software. I would bring the content team's scripts to life by using the green screen process to key the avatar into Premiere Pro.
I created videos to complement the learning modules of Cognassist that classify the areas of cognitive difference into nine cognitive domains. The attached images are from the "Understanding Visual Perception" module. The video sequence demonstrates the processes used in navigating a UK roundabout.
In some videos, scenarios are used to demonstrate the methods employed to work around cognitive differences. For instance, the above image was extracted from the "Understanding Literacy" module. These scenarios were created using Premiere Pro, and the voices were generated using Murf, an online voice AI application.
While working with Cognassist, I created approximately thirty videos that covered all nine cognitive domains. To bring the videos to life, I utilized various software packages to design avatars, vocalise scripts, and add graphics, animations, and special effects. I also used MOGRT's (Motion graphics templates) created in After Effects and Premiere Pro to enhance the overall quality of the videos.
